Don't know, as I said, I have done almost nothing with ntsc signals.
I was just suggesting some things I would have tried in your situation.

Perhaps the pong device does not put out a strong enough signal, or
perhaps there is a ground issue.

I was thinking about swapping the lines (reverse polarity) but based
on what Aaron said about it (back on March 28), I would not bother
trying that now.  Perhaps now that you have more information someone
with some specific knowledge will step up and lend a hand.
