[Wear-Hard] New toy and some really great hardware to consider...

You all know I'm hoping for a wearable to be made with off0the-shelf
parts and usable without learning a cording keyboard, emacs, etc.
Something for the common consumer.

Well, I recently picked up a Blackberry Curve and really think this
would make a good base platform due to its battery life and superb
networking abilities... but...

I don't see any capability for outside video or input devices. It has
Bluetooth, so conceivably it should be possible for external devices to
connect that way. Long ago there was a company developing a BT monocle,
but they got bought out and that project was scrapped.

Does anyone know if any company has picked up the idea of making a BT
eye piece? They all seem to be focusing on low-res Geordie LaForge
style specks for the iPod... Grr.

But with J2ME and bluetooth, it *should* be a simple affair to turn most
current smartphones into decent usable wearable rigs.

It would definitely be better than my Nokia 770 on an old Orang-Otang
wrist strap.
