I used a model from sonorix for a while- it looked exactly like this one,
but it had 128M of on-board flash for stand-alone mp3 player functionality.

(I later returned to more traditional corded headsets; keeping that many
devices charged up was not worth the wireless freedom)

It worked okay for cellphone voice and for music; I don't know if it
would be acceptable for voice-recognition use or not.

This was maybe a year and a half ago- there was a firmware issue with
the on-board mp3 player (if transfers got interrupted you would have
inaccessible space in flash) but support from sonorix was good, and the
problems were solved with new firmware. I don't think I had any trouble
with using it as a basic mono or stereo headphone (except that most phones
at the time only supported the mono bluetooth profile)
