Enkin is another cellphone related AR application also from japan, for
Google Android as opposed to Sekai Camera's iPhone application. While
Steve Mann's Eyetap, or a see through overlay HUD, are the right ways
to go for AR/MR usage, using a cellphone as a combined camera/screen
as a window into an AR world is arguably the next best thing and can
create the necessary critical mass of users to get more practical UI
and usage information for concept refinement. Additionally, hooking
into google maps and google streetview for annotation/tag sources
increases the usability/desirability, and lowers some of the barriers
to annotation/tagging.
