Good idea.  I think clipping a keyboard so it hangs off your
belt/pants so you can type on it by pressing it against your thigh
might be the least in the way and intrusive option.

Wires have become somewhat more acceptable than in the past, as long
as it looks like it's for some sort of music player.  Perhaps run the
wires up to your ears and then down the inside of your shirt. :-)
