It's been a good day, until the end. I was lazy. I was "don't bother changing, you're not going out" lazy. I wore my pj's to do laundry (I have a longcoat, so it works fine.) I played The Legend of Dragoon all day long. It was a good day. Then, I finally start unpacking some of the very last of the boxes, looking for some of our directions. Phew! Apparently, one of the cats got to one of the boxes, and did what cats do. And here I'd been praising them for being so good earlier in the evening to Greg. Most of the objects will be save-able, I'm pretty sure -- it will need some tender care, but the stuffies are *mostly* scent-free, and two wall-hanging objects seem to have only picked up peripheral scent. It didn't soke down into the comics (oh, thank goodness), but...basically, everything I'm pretty sure can be saved, I could have replaced. But two items, NJ Devils hockey pennants, one for the Stanley Cup 2000 championship, one of their original colors -- I don't think they are going to make it. Oh, I'm going to give it my very best shot; these are important to me. And I'm hoping really hard they'll be all right. But it's just the way my life is -- no matter how good, something bad happens to destroy it lately. And the destruction is always irreplaceable. |
